OVERVIEW
Nonprofits are rich with compelling stories, but are often not sure how to share them ethically, impactfully and intentionally. Andy Goodman (The Goodman Center) teaches us that stories are our single most powerful communication tool.
With Goodman’s theories as a guide, this workshop will present the types of stories to tell, how to use stories that build board, staff, and donor buy-in, and other techniques that have proven useful to nonprofits throughout the country. The workshop will be interactive – participants will be encouraged to share a story amongst themselves as well as test out specific tools. Videos and photo examples will reinforce the concepts. Participants will learn how to share stories and who to share them with for maximum impact.
