Overview
As part of the United Way of Northern New York’s Community Investment Program, the United Way offers grants to communities, schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties.
Focus Areas
The United Way of Northern New York’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all residents of Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties through leadership, training and funding. The United Way is an outcome-focused organization that seeks the highest return on investment for each grant made, which results in stronger and healthier towns, villages and school districts in Northern New York. The United Way of Northern New York has three focus areas for investment:
- Improving the survivability for the most vulnerable in our communities
- Healthy, educated and happy children
- Creating opportunity for meaningful employment for adults
