Sadly, food insecurity continues to be an issue with local pantries reporting that they are serving greater numbers of families, many of whom are working and doing their best … but cannot keep up with price escalations. United, we can make a difference and ensure that families have access to food, one of the most basic of human needs.
Please lend your support to this important initiative. Consider placing a collection box within your business, gym, church, or other favorite space. Volunteer for an hour or two at the event. Help spread the word by sharing the flyer within your circles of influence. Follow the United Way on social media, like and share posts relating to the food drive. Anything you can do to help will make a difference to a friend or neighbor who is at risk of not getting enough to eat. Those of us who have experienced hunger can relate to how debilitating it is, especially for children. Nutrition is essential to our ability to learn, grow, and thrive!
