Renee Beyer Endowment

The "Renee Beyer-United Way Fund" was established in 2013 in memory of Renee Beyer, a former planner with Lewis County. Her devotion of her family, job and nonprofits in Lewis County was well known.

The fund was created by a $2,500 gift from the United Way of Northern New York. An additional $10,000 was added as a challenge grant from the Northern New York Community Foundation, which is managing the fund.

The sole purpose of the fund is to generate money to be used to support Lewis County nonprofit partners of the United Way of Northern New York. The United Way's Community Review team, made up of volunteers primarily from Lewis County, will determine where funds will go annually.

The ”Boys & Girls Clubs-United Way Fund” was established in 2015 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club and the creation of the Boys & Girls Club of Massena.

The fund was created by a $25,000 challenge gift from T. Urling Walker. The gift was matched by $7,500 contributions by each club and a $10,00 gift from the New York State Corrections Officers and Police Benevolent Association. An additional $25,000 was added by the Northern New York Community Foundation, which is managing the fund.

The sole purpose of the fund is to generate money to be used to support both clubs, which are partners of the United Way of Northern New York. Appreciation from the endowment will be divided by the United Way and given to the clubs.
